If people could remember history going back further than one week, Bush would never have gotten a second term.

I believe that congress passed legislation in 1967 that made everything prior to 1960 "Fashioned" and everything from 1961 on "Fangled"

Actually, things have been "new-fashioned" since 1575 and "oldfangled" since 1842, but those are old-fashioned terms and everyone prefers to use the newfangled ones now...

Even worse, 23% said, "You know, the black dude," 14% said "Tina Fey," 6% said "Who wants to know?" and 1% thought they were entering a contest to win Metallica tickets.

Here's a better one. Exit polls came out yesterday from early voting in several states. So these are people polled who HAVE ALREADY VOTED. The question was "Who did you vote for?"

6% answered "I Don't Know"

Huh? No wonder we end up with people like Bush in the White House if 6% of the electorate doesn't even know what button they pushed in the voting booth.

Or, perhaps, just going after McCain himself, who is also not likely to know where he is or where his pants are. "When's Jell-O?!"

I could go traditional and complain about my man boobs, but apart from your observations I much prefer the term "bitch tits"

I would argue that you are the MANtithesis of a shoe-in for an Emmy. You don't win these kind of prizes when your favorite music is sung by Barry MANilow and your clothing is made out of HIMp (which is illegal in most states by the way).

Now if you'll excuse me, i have to eat my lunch while it's hot; MANchovy pizza of course.

I actually think 20% of Crystal Skull was not only tolerable, but enjoyable. I'm pretty sure the other 80% is what Lucas demanded be changed from the Darabont draft and Spielbergs vision. I just personally can't see Ford doing another one without him and Spielberg having a say in it. I'm pretty firmly convinced now that that they only finally caved on the Lucas compromised vision because they assumed it was the last chance they had.

As far as Lucas's mental problems. I believe there are two really bad things in being a film maker...one is having to compromise or "settle" for far less than you were hoping your product would be and and the other is to be so ego-centric to demand your product be exactly as you envisioned in it and completely dismiss any other input into the vision.

I think the absolutely horrific thing about Lucas is that in reality, he is settling for sub-par product and convincing himself the product is actually the realization of his vision. At the very least, he's a classic example of why there's some merit in the "studio" system. If Lucas wasn't his own Father, Son, Holy Spirit, Pastor, and Congregation member all rolled into one person, then at least there could be SOME checks and balances in the process. As it is, ever since Phantom Menace and growing exponentially in the Star Wars universe he will give frank, dead serious-interviews where he completely contradicts himself about aspects and directions of the franchise while completely asserting that everything was exactly like he had planned it all along. It wouldn't surprise me to hear him come out at some point and claim that he had always intended Ewoks to be the heroes in JEDI and that the whole Wookiee concept was just a fan/media rumor. Hard to tell whether he believes his delusions or if he simply thinks that his fan base is just as inept and ignorant as the average American who voted for Bush twice.

Cripes, wasted all that in a comment/reply when I could have made a whole blog post for my own site outta that.
